Dating to c.1900 this is a Brass Glove Iron...later mounted to display. Stamped JAMES WARD (WORCESTER) LTD. Suppliers of gloves to the Royal Family.

Glove irons were used in the last stages of manufacture to remove any creases in the leather after the gloves were stitched together. Centrally is a thermometer to check the temperature.
