Rare Georgian Country House Game Hooks

A rare set of Georgian Game Hooks - sold to me as Butcher`s hooks but there are 7 hooks - not enough for a Butchers shop.

These would have hung in the kitchen of a large country house. The gamekeeper would bring the pheasants (or other game) to the house and hang them straight on these hooks. The birds would then "hang" for a while before being plucked & gutted.

All the hooks are present on a wonderful piece of shaped pine. Two holes to wall hang.

Great all over colour & patina.
