Rare Victorian Papier Mache Marrotte....these are wonderfully decorative painted ladies and were used to display hats etc in Parisian Stores. This one is unusual as she has a leather bonnet.
There is usually damage as they are papier mache but this is very sturdy and strong and overall very good. There is a crack to one side and was sold to me as completely original (I think there has been a slight touch up to the paint on her face). Overall very lovely.
