A rare piece of Edwardian Shops Advertising BUT the largest I have ever had of its kind too.
Much better in real life than the photographs, I always find glass really hard to photograph.
Dating to c1900 this is a Shops Glass Advertising Bowl. The front of the base is etched FIELD`S PURE TOILET SOAPS. LONDON, its lid is etched & painted FIELD`S PURE TOILET SOAPS.
It is rare to find the base with its lid and I have seen the base alone sell for the price I have the base and lid on at.
There is a weeny nick around the top of the base...often is with these jars as customers over the years have lifted the lid up and down. On the lid on the edge (underside) there is a chip too. When the lid is placed on it isnt noticeable but I have to mention.
This jar would have sat on a counter displaying different variations of the Field`s Soaps. Lovely displayed in a bathroom today....
Large & delicate so it can be posted but by Parcel Force 48 for £18.
