A rare Edwardian white ironstone Grocer’s display stand for butter or cheese. The ironstone kept it cool. Made by Maypole Dairy Co Ltd. It stands perfectly level and sturdy. Three sides are great - chip to one side. When turned over there is another chip off the stand. Obviously the price reflects this but put the chip to the back it looks perfect.
