Oh this is lovely....c1880 this is a lovely Victorian Biscuit Ware Butter Dish in the shape of an English Straw Boater.
Biscuit Ware is fired but then left unglazed. A wonderful very detailed piece. The hat lifts off to a dish underneath.
The condition is very good there is a little chip near the bow and a few nicks around the base of the lid (they seem to always have this) overall good.
