Victorian Toleware Spice Tin on its Original Ball Feet with Working front hinge which would have been padlocked as Spices were expensive and stolen by the Servants!
Inside it has the most decorative toleware flap with the internal SPICES on it. When you lift the flap the metal separators which made six compartments have been taken out. A real piece of history underneath the lid (in pencil but I didnt want to remove) a previous owner has written "Farthings. Schoole Money. Goods. Odds. Rent. Insurance"
It is now a useable box...looks wonderful with the lid up.
