A truely wonderful and super rare Early Victorian c.1840 Biscuit Ware Cheese Dome shaped as a Bee Hive.

Biscuit ware is basically earthenware (in this case) that has been fired but not glazed. Works SO well on this bee hive!

The dome is original to the base..the base is aeriated (holes in a circle) to air the cheese from underneath. 

Really fantastic original condition. When you turn the dome over there is a stamp K M & Co H No. 5.
