Two Edwardian Toleware Baskets of Fruit

I have had one set of these before with a Grocers Shop Suppliers stamp on them and was told they were for making the shops shelves look more attractive and full of stock when supplies were low. 

They are wonderfully shaped & painted as baskets full of fruit. Such decorative items and of course they are very strong so you could always hold some books up with them to.  They look great displayed either side of a window sill etc..
