Wonderful pair of Late Victorian Matched Toleware Baskets of Fruit.

They were sold to me as shops display...apparently if the shelves were slightly empty these were put up to make the shop look colourful and not so short of stock? They also look like bookends but they do tilt backwards so it seems more for display. Either way they would look very decorative either end of a mantlepiece or window cil etc.
