Early 20th Century Bakers Basket. One side MCHESTER for Manchester the other E HOLBROOK.  Each side has an E & H in red and an M in black. E Holbrook Bakers were established in 1899 and I think are still going today.

This basket would sit at the front of a bike and could be easily opened by two flaps at the top.
