Not often seen Early 20th Century Butter Cooler. THE "EVERSTON BUTTER COOLER. NOTE: Please damp from the outside only.

This dome made of terracotta was damped with water and that kept it cool and therefore the butter too underneath it. This is in the days before fridges and this dome would have been kept on a stone floor in the Larder.

Terracotta is very absorbant and you can see round the sides and back where the water has been but it is all very clean.

A reasonably heavy item so post is first class signed for, for £6.80
