Late Victorian Pine Maids Tidy with Inner Tray

Victorian Pine Maid's Tidy with its often missing Inner Tray. Lovely condition no worm and a handy piece to display and use.

When the tray is removed you can see there are burn marks (only surface marks, none gone through) but from hot coals being placed inside by the Maid. I could have painted inside to cover but wanted to leave it as it has always been and after all the marks are part of its history.
